Rokid Glasses Surpassed $2 Million on Kickstarter Amid Meta's Ray-Ban Display Launch

NEW YORK, NY / ACCESS Newswire / September 19, 2025 / Rokid today announced that the Rokid Glasses have surpassed $2 million in crowdfunding pledges on Kickstarter 20 days after launch. Following the million-dollar achievement reached during the campaign's launch, the latest milestone marks continued enthusiasm and global demand for the world's lightest full-function AI & AR smart glasses.

At just 49 grams, Rokid Glasses are the lightest camera-equipped full-function smart glasses on the market. They are almost one-third lighter than Meta's new Ray-Ban Display glasses, which weigh around 69 grams. The weight difference, along with ergonomic nose pads, makes Rokid more comfortable for extended wear. Built on the Qualcomm AR1 platform, they deliver enterprise-level performance in a consumer-ready design. The device integrates dual Micro LED waveguide displays (compared to the Meta Ray-Ban Display's single-eye HUD) with a 480×398 resolution per eye and 1500 nits of brightness, providing a bright and discreet augmented reality experience suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

It goes beyond hardware: Meta's glasses are deeply tied to its own app ecosystem, which means users are primarily limited to Meta AI and its associated apps. Rokid has an open ecosystem, supporting popular tools like ChatGPT and Google Maps, as well as custom LLM integrations through its open SDK and developer community.

The glasses are equipped with a 12MP Sony IMX681 first-person camera, featuring LLHDR Night Vision Dynamic Range Optimization, HDR, multi-frame noise reduction, and electronic image stabilization. Supported by a privacy indicator light, the camera captures immersive hands-free photos and video, enabling creators and professionals to record from their own perspective without bulky equipment.

With dual HD directional speakers and a four-microphone array featuring AI noise cancellation, Rokid Glasses enable you to use natural voice commands, make phone calls, and enjoy audio playback without the need for earbuds. The device is designed for reliable use throughout the day.

With Rokid Glasses, everyday life gets easier. Imagine attending a concert, instantly capturing the moment, or jogging in a new city with directions in view. Picture preparing for a speech with scrolling talking points, or understanding signs and conversations abroad. Small moments, like helping with homework, measuring a recipe, or calling someone you love without a phone, become easier. Rokid Glasses enhance these meaningful daily moments.

The Kickstarter campaign remains live, with under a month to go. Early supporters can still purchase the Rokid Glasses at an early-bird price.

"Breaking the $2 million mark demonstrates a global community's confidence in what wearable AI can achieve," said Zoro Shao, Global General Manager of Rokid. "People around the world are showing us they're ready to integrate these tools into daily life, and together we're shaping how the next era of human-computer interaction will unfold."
