New service will roll out in California, Florida, Georgia and Texas, bringing affordable, high-quality telehealth to millions of families facing massive insurance hikes
As millions of Americans brace for record insurance premium hikes and expiring subsidies, a new startup led by Dr. Renee Dua, founder of Heal, is addressing the crisis with a transformative solution: TenDollarTelehealth, delivering $10 unlimited primary and urgent-care visits with licensed providers, no insurance or deductibles required.
Beginning January 12, 2026, TenDollarTelehealth will offer coverage to 100 million residents across California, Florida, Georgia, and Texas, with nationwide expansion planned later in the year. Enrollment is now open, and the first 10,000 members will lock in $10-per-year memberships and $10-per-visit pricing for life. Residents in these states are urged to sign up now at TenDollarTelehealth.com before slots fill up.
The Healthcare Crisis Hits Home
When ACA premium subsidies expire on December 31, 2025, millions will lose affordable coverage. The Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) projects ACA premiums to rise an average of 114%, amounting to $1,000 annually for the typical family. Meanwhile, 27% of workers are on high-deductible plans exceeding $3,000 in out-of-pocket costs.
A survey commissioned by TenDollarTelehealth of 1,000 Americans ages 25–55 with a median income of $75,000 found that 56% already spend more than $1,500 out-of-pocket annually on healthcare, forcing many to skip or delay care.
“No one should ever put off healthcare because of costs,” said Dr. Dua. “Every American should have access to affordable care when they need it most, without surprises, deductibles, copays or high costs. Now they can. TenDollarTelehealth is $10 to sign up, $10 to get care. We are making it easy for everyone to get the care they need for themselves and their families."
The Solution: Simple, Transparent, Quality Care
TenDollarTelehealth offers a straightforward pricing structure, eliminating insurance requirements, deductibles, network restrictions or surprise bills. Members pay a $10 annual fee, then pay $10 per video visit for care delivered by vetted, board-certified, state-licensed providers, including doctors, nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs).
Appointments are available 12 hours a day, 365 days a year, in English or Spanish, via any phone, tablet or computer.
"We're not upselling expensive supplements or promoting expensive add-ons,“ said Dr. Dua. “Our purpose is to offer quality care at the lowest possible price to patients of all ages.”
TenDollarTelehealth can be used for all typical primary and urgent care needs, including:
- Everyday illnesses: Colds, flu, COVID-19, sinus infections, coughs, sore throats, fever
- Chronic conditions: Diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, asthma management
- Urgent needs: UTIs, skin rashes, allergies, minor injuries, pink eye, ear infections
- Mental health: Anxiety, depression, stress management, ongoing support
The initial rollout targets four of the nation’s largest and most underserved states, reaching more than one-third of the U.S. population:
- Texas: 16.7% uninsured (5 million+ residents); highest in the nation
- Florida: 10.9% uninsured; millions in coverage limbo
- Georgia: 12% uninsured; limited Medicaid expansion
- California: 2.8 million currently uninsured, with 1.7 million more expected to lose coverage if subsidies expire
“While D.C. is stuck, Americans are paying more and waiting longer just to see a doctor,” said Dr. Dua. “TenDollarTelehealth removes the wait, the paperwork and the price barriers. We’re here to give families the healthcare they need.”
Providers Also Benefit
The platform also addresses working conditions for providers, an industry-wide concern as administrative overhead and burnout drive record resignations.
“Physicians and nurse practitioners are overwhelmed by administrative tasks,” said Dr. Dua. “TenDollarTelehealth lets providers focus on what matters: patients. They can work from home, deliver real care and still have time for their own families.”

“We’re building something revolutionary,” Dr. Dua said. “Healthcare that’s simple, transparent and accessible to everyone, exactly as it should be.”
