Staff and students at Maude M. Wilkins Elementary School in Maple Shade, New Jersey, congratulate Ms. Julie Kessler (seen standing, fourth from left) on winning the 2025 Grungo Law South Jersey Teacher of the Year Award.

Grungo Law launched the Teacher of the Year program as part of Grungo Gives, our community giving back initiative. This program reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to giving back and supporting our community’s most dedicated individuals who are shaping the next generation. We recognize the significance of teachers, not only in the classroom but also in the lives and futures of every student they impact. As part of the celebration, last year’s Teacher of the Year, Ms. Solimar Santamaria, joined Grungo Law in presenting the award, bringing the recognition full circle from one dedicated educator to another. This special moment highlighted the deep respect and support within the local community, making the honor even more memorable.

A student’s parent nominated Ms. Kessler for creating a learning environment filled with compassion, encouragement, and joy. Her dedication, passion, and positive influence inspire her students to thrive, and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

“We’re pleased to recognize Ms. Kessler as this year’s Teacher of the Year,” said Richard Grungo Jr., Esq., founder of Grungo Law. “As someone who was raised and educated in New Jersey and watching my own kids grow through the New Jersey school system, I have a deep appreciation for the educators who shape our communities.”

As part of this honor, Ms. Kessler was awarded a $500 gift card and an engraved keepsake commemorating her accomplishment. Through our Grungo Gives initiative, Grungo Law is proud to support and celebrate outstanding educators, and looking forward to continuing to recognize those who make a meaningful difference in South Jersey for years to come.
